PTM regenerative turbine pumps avoid oversized centrifugals with excessive by-pass and power requirements. PTM non-metallic turbine designs have excellent chemical resistance and extremely low wearing characteristics. The pump is able to handle liquids with up to 20% entrained gas. Variation in head have minimal effect on the flow of a turbine pump. Also, turbine pumps can be throttled to a required duty point without by-passing. Manufactured from solid, the machined casing can be made of PP or PVDF. The high purity ceramic shaft is oversized to ensure increased durability during operation and can also be provided in silicon carbide as an option. The Self-balancing impeller eliminates thrust bearing wear and comes as a separate part to minimise maintenance costs. Self-priming models, PTM-SP, are capable of lifting corrosive liquids up to 5m without the need of a foot valve and with an empty suction pipe. Ideal for underground tank transferring and truck unloading. Atex certification, Category II, is also available on request for the use in hazardous environments.
