Vertical Centrifugal Immersion & Cantilever Shaft Pumps

Vertical Centrifugal Immersion pumps are where the pump chamber is submerged in liquid and the motor is positioned in above the fluid line in a “dry” location & encased within a column. This then allows the pumping element of the pump to be inserted through while the motor is kept outside from any fluid. Otherwise known as a shaft pump, these are usually placed in a tank or pit, & is more commonly utilised when dealing with corrosive or abrasive fluids amongst other applications.
Available in two different types, as an Immersion and Cantilever pump, some advantages of using a vertical Immersion or shaft pump include being able to transfer fluids at a higher temperature and transferring flammable liquids.
